France – a favorite travel destination among golfers


France has a wide range of golf courses that are peaceful and serene. These courses can delight a novice golfer as well as an experienced one.

France is an ideal travel destination for a golf-lover as there are golf courses throughout France. France boasts of more than five hundred golf courses, which include almost a hundred new courses that have been prepared in the recent past. A golfer is certainly spoilt for choice the moment he lands up in France.
The main reason why the golf courses in France are never very crowded is that golf is not a very popular sport among the people of France. Hence a golf-loving traveler can always spend a few leisurely and peaceful hours in a golf course of his choice.

The principal golfing regions of France are located near Biarritz and Le Touquet. Besides these, numerous impeccable golf courses are scattered all over the country. A traveler interested for a golf holiday or golf weekend has a wide range of choices in France. Those who prefer a cooler climate can opt for Pas de Calais, Normandy and Brittany. These regions have more than 130 golf courses and are very conveniently accessible too.

    Thanks for informative post. No doubt some of the best golf courses in Europe are in France. France is ideal for golf at any time of year. I must say France is a dream destination for golfers.
